Okay, so I’ve been kind of elusive these past few days, and I thought it’d be a good thing to tell y’all what was going on. I’m posting this on a couple of sites I’m on, as an explanation.
The past week or so, I’ve been working on three 8ft x 4ft panels, painting a design on it for a commission. It was for a dance recital of some sort. A friend and I were both working on it. The day before yesterday, we were working on it from 10AM that morning to 1AM yesterday morning. Then, after a few hours of sleep, I had to take her to school (I’m graduating, so I have more time), and then I had to come back and finish the boards. I knew I wouldn’t get it all done yesterday by myself, as it had to be completed yesterday, so I called one of my friends to get them to help me.
To make it all worse, my graduation was yesterday. We finished the boards one hour before I was supposed to be at the gym, and I was covered in red and green acrylic paint splatters, with black spray paint all up in my nails. I took a shower, got dressed, and everything else within about half an hour and then had my sister’s boyfriend rush me to the school gym, where we waited for about an hour for the ceremony to start (and I was in high heels, which I’m not used to).
I wanted to cry because of how stressed I was, and I was ready to just go sleep, because, as all my friends know, I need at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep each night to function properly.
We only had one week to paint 8ft x 12ft of board, and because of the high winds outside, we had to bring the boards to my house and spray paint in my garage.
*sigh* It has been a very stressful week. I haven’t even been able to draw something, let alone get online and really do something for myself (except just before I went to bed each night, for the past few days).
I’m ready to get back to work online, but today is more of a ‘have fun’ day, so I’ll be out with friends at the movies and having a grill-out. Should be fun.
Anyway, in other news . . . I’M A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE!!!!
I’m going to Centenary College in Shreveport next year, majoring in Communications and Studio Arts. Can’t wait! I’m nervous. XD

Wow, you've been busy! I can see how you would be quite stressed but congrats on graduating and making it through everything. Dang, I can barely even remember my graduation day.

Well, this is what we were working on. My aunt got a picture of it before the people came to take it away this morning.

Thanks! By the time I was nearly finished, I was ready to throw something at it and rip it to pieces.

Great job Strider, keep up the good work and now that you've had some time off I have you relax and go ride some horses.

That is a nice painting. Belated congratulations on your graduation.
I graduated last year, I remember feeling so relieved after I was officially done.

Relieved? That's definitely the word! Relieved that it's over, but nervous about the upcoming college year. I'm not the only one who gets nervous about that type of thing, right? I'm excited about it, though! Can't wait! (And then . . . I think I can. )

I'm excited about it, though! Can't wait! (And then . . . I think I can. ) I was super nervous for my first year of college. I don't know about you, but for me it was a huge change since I got my own apartment and was living away from home on during the week, with three guys I didn't even know prior to moving in. Turns out it was a great experience, and it's a lot like high school except a bigger homework load, and the people are generally friendlier than in high school.. I'm sure everything will be fine, and I'll wish you the best of luck with it. What are you going to be studying by the way, if you don't mind me asking?

I'll be majoring in Studio Arts and Communications, if that tells you anything. XD Hoping to go into the movie industry right now.

Love it. It's definitely my thing, I do a mix of journalism and video editing. I'll have to single out one of those fields before University, but I'm not sure which yet. I think I like video more, but I'm better at journalism, so...
