Okay, so you know how cops go online posing as kids, trying to catch predators and so on? Well, they caught one of their own guys! Here's an article:
MONROE, LA (KSLA) - The Louisiana State Police had to arrest one of their own Friday.
29-year-old Jonathan Williams of West Monroe was arrested at Troop F for warrants out of Rapides Parish a two felony counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Williams allegedly began to exchange emails with a State Police investigator who was posing online as a juvenile and he allegedly emailed inappropriate pictures of himself and solicited similar photos from the investigator who posed as a juvenile.
Williams was a probationary officer assigned to Troop F in Monroe and was a recent graduate of the State Police Academy.
He has since been terminated.
Williams has been booked into the Ouachita Parish jail, but is being transported to Rapides Parish where the charges will be filed.
The investigation is continuing and other charges will likely be filed in the coming days, according to State Troopers.

Embarrassing situation for the guy, which he fully deserves.
His family and ex-coworkers won't think too highly of him now.

I laughed when I heard it, which is terrible. It's more of the ironic funny than the 'ha ha' funny, though. Really not smart of the guy.

He's especially stupid seeing as he was probably aware of the operation that is trying to catch predators on the internet, being part of the force himself.

Some people just think 'Can't happen to me!' I know, because I've thought that before, when I was younger. We all kind of did, I think, but this guy? Maybe because he was in the force, he thought he was immune or something?

It's possible. Or maybe he thought that we would recognize an undercover cop.
I wouldn't underestimate them. There's a reason they're doing the particular job, and it's because they're damn good at it.

I watch a show about investigators going after such people. They are good at texting like the age group and careful how they say things. It kinda disturbs them to go after such people. I'm sure it's more sad when they find out the culprit is one with authority that's suppose to help people, especially there own. Though creepy, I would be more than willing to do the job. Peds either need to removed from humanity, or fail for entertainment purposes.

I think that though it would be disturbing, knowing that you helped "bring someone to justice" would be rather satifactory. Of course, then you realize that you have to go do it again because there are plenty more out there to find.

Being a cop + being an online predator = a bad combo when in prison.
